Q3 Finish-Along New List

Hi everyone.
It was great to see all the finishes for Q2. My daughter was pleased with her bag. I still have a long way to go with my finishes.  I feel inspired by Mary Huey's tutorial for Q2.  I am going to sew at least 20 minutes each day and keep a journal and Mary's tutorial and this Finish-Along have given me the motivation.

1.  Owl Quilt - to be quilted and bound.

2. Babies Quilt - Just about ready to be stitched together. I have been working on the hexagon blocks during Q2.

3. Xmas Wallhanging - this is an unfinished challenge and as I have just been out for a mid-winter Xmas dinner I decided I would include this and have it finished for Xmas this year.

4. Quilt as You Go - My daughter's gave me this book Quilt-As-You-Go Made Modern by Jera Brandvig for my birthday, and I want to make a babies quilt,  I love all the quilts in the book and I haven't tried quilt-as-you-go.

5. Log Cabin - Needs to be quilted and bound,

6. I want to make another bag.

7. Babies Quilt - This is a top and needs to be quilted.

I have set myself quite a challenge so here goes!!!

Quarter 2 Finish Along Finish

Hi and welcome

I am very pleased to have finished a bag (from Adrianne's tutorial) for my daughter's birthday.  I received a text yesterday to say it had arrived safely in Sydney. She is going to keep it and open it on her birthday on the 7th July.

I am very pleased with the finish. I used the 'Soft and Stable' batting recommended and liked the firm but soft bag. It is peacocks on the outside.

And peacock feathers for the pockets.  One side has a zip pocket.

The other side has three pockets with my ruler in the middle one.

This is the card and envelope I found to send with the present.

I enjoyed making this bag and want to make more now.

I am linking this post up with the 2015 Finish Along onthewindyside.blogspot.com

Cheers
